(More customer reviews)well made. when you roll the right knob all the way to 5 o'clock you get a fuzz sound .. roll it to 7 o'clock you get a octave, everything between both is a mix of fuzz & octave.. the left knob controls the output volume. it also mixes the fuzz octave sound , it also changes very fast i mean one second fuzz and the other oct .. that fast.. from oct to fuzz you can hear it way on the back but it's there.. its hard to describe but if you're reading about it maybe its for you. the only thing i dont like is that if im playing the clean channel and then activate the blue box with the volume set a maximun, the sound coming out is lower than that when playing clean .. therefore youre gonna sound lower when you turn it on.. to solve that i use a compressor but i'd still have to press one first and then the other in order to get the same amount of volume as playing the clean channel alone.

It's very adjustable for the amount of octave effect you want, with the girth & growl knobs plus a dry knob to let you keep some dry signal going to your amp if you run it at the instrument level. I prefer running through the effects loop of one amplifier, while leaving a totally dry signal going to a second amplifier. If you have 2 amps with at least one having an effects loop and a stereo chorus pedal, try this: plug your bass into the chorus pedal and then output to the 2 amps. Plug this octave pedal into the effects loop of one amp, and set the effects level around 30-40%. You'll be running a completely dry sound thru one amp, with the effect coming thru the other, with still some dry sound coming through that one as well. It's awesome, much better than running through one amp. Although I should point out it's also quite good with one amp. But the 2 amp deal is mind boggling. To quote a poet, it "will soon shake your windows and rattle your walls." Oh, and the adjustable range mid+ button is a cool feature as well...
