This is a really cool octave pedal. It's very adjustable for the amount of octave effect you want, with the girth & growl knobs plus a dry knob to let you keep some dry signal going to your amp if you run it at the instrument level. I prefer running through the effects loop of one amplifier, while leaving a totally dry signal going to a second amplifier. If you have 2 amps with at least one having an effects loop and a stereo chorus pedal, try this: plug your bass into the chorus pedal and then output to the 2 amps. Plug this octave pedal into the effects loop of one amp, and set the effects level around 30-40%. You'll be running a completely dry sound thru one amp, with the effect coming thru the other, with still some dry sound coming through that one as well. It's awesome, much better than running through one amp. Although I should point out it's also quite good with one amp. But the 2 amp deal is mind boggling. To quote a poet, it "will soon shake your windows and rattle your walls." Oh, and the adjustable range mid+ button is a cool feature as well...
