(More customer reviews)Overall this is a good pedal. The sound is good and the Q control can create a good range of sounds. When you step off it, it goes to the full up position, and switches to bypass if left there for a half second or so. The bypass is excellent; I can't tell it's in the chain when I'm not using it. It has a strong metal housing, and you can easily put your full weight on it without hurting it. A metal gear strip attached to the platform turns a gear in the base, making for a very solid connection.
My biggest complaint is that the platform has a pretty limited range of motion-- 10 or 15 degrees at most. A little more range would make it easier to get some in-between sounds rather than full on or full off. While it's sound is quite good, I think there's still some room for improvement there as well.

(More customer reviews)This is a really cool octave pedal. It's very adjustable for the amount of octave effect you want, with the girth & growl knobs plus a dry knob to let you keep some dry signal going to your amp if you run it at the instrument level. I prefer running through the effects loop of one amplifier, while leaving a totally dry signal going to a second amplifier. If you have 2 amps with at least one having an effects loop and a stereo chorus pedal, try this: plug your bass into the chorus pedal and then output to the 2 amps. Plug this octave pedal into the effects loop of one amp, and set the effects level around 30-40%. You'll be running a completely dry sound thru one amp, with the effect coming thru the other, with still some dry sound coming through that one as well. It's awesome, much better than running through one amp. Although I should point out it's also quite good with one amp. But the 2 amp deal is mind boggling. To quote a poet, it "will soon shake your windows and rattle your walls." Oh, and the adjustable range mid+ button is a cool feature as well...

(More customer reviews)Tried several other 'names' to improve my sound, some more expensive, and some cheaper. Although this is not the cheapest, it ROCKS !
This is some powerfull piece of kit. Took a coupla days to find my way around it, but it is the best deal going for $ value. Easy to read knobs on dark stage. Incredible boost and distortion, light, small, and TOUGH built. One note of caution, the damn thing EATS batterys, so get yourself a mains converter for about $19
