SKB Acoustic Case Shaped Hardshell, Standard Latches, Handle Review

I ordered this case anticipating taking my Guild GAD 40C on vacation this summer. It is a well made case, pretty lightweight, with very positive latching. The storage compartment holds a good deal of gear. I've read numerous reviews complaining that the case is a bit too spacious for a variety of dreads, and I found this to be true for my dread, as well. The simple solution was to take a thick pair of wool ski socks, roll them up and stuff them into the space between the upper bout and the side of the case. Worked like a charm. I haven't taken my trip yet but my poking, prodding, and leaning on the case have me convinced that, short of flinging it under a moving bus, it should hold up nicely.

SKB 56 Molded Guitar Case Les Paul Style Review

SKB 56 Molded Guitar Case Les Paul Style

This is my second SKB case; I was so impressed with the quality of the first one (fits a Fender Telecaster-style guitar) that I ordered this second one (fits a Les Paul-style guitar). The hardware and fit-and-finish are superior to other instrument cases I have owned, and the TSA-approved latches in particular seem very robust. The guitar fits snugly inside the case, with the neck supported below the headstock, such that the headstock and tuners "float" without contacting the inside of the case, which prevents the tuners from de-tuning every time you put the guitar in the case. Overall, a nice product.

I used this case to take my guitar to Germany. I had 2 other bags so the wheels made my life so much easier. The case fit my 80's Epiphone to a T. Guitar made it there and back without a scratch! TRILLED with this purchase!

SKB 335 Type Shaped Hardshell - TSA Latch, Over-Molded Handle Review

I recently bought an Epiphone Sheraton II. At the time of my order, that was the guitar Amazon pictured in the case for this particular product. It's difficult to find a case that fits the guitar, because Epiphones seem to be about an inch longer at the headstock than similar semi-hollow and hollow body guitars. This case is great. My guitar fits snugly, and slips in and out easily. The case feels rock solid, both the shell and the latches. SKB's site lists all the guitar models that they claim fit for each case type, so double check there for your own guitar.
This is the second SKB case I've bought (the other for a Gibson SG), and I recommend them highly. Don't take your guitar to a jam in a gig bag, and don't get a case where you have to compromise on fit. Your guitar is safe in an SKB.
